A day in the life of a Disability Support Worker across Sale Services(s)
This rewarding role supports both male and female clients with disabilities (at two residential services in Sale), in enhancing the quality of life and, where applicable, their families. You will be a part of a team supporting these clients one-on-one or in groups, in their homes and occasionally in the community. You will work closely with individuals to implement personalized plans that address their unique needs and goals.
No one work day (or night) will be the same! You might support clients with:
- Working towards their goals
- Shopping, appointments and events
- Daily living and personal care needs, including assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene and mobility, and
- Overnight care
About You

What You’ll Bring:

- Excellent communication skills and English literacy to effectively connect with clients.

- A willingness to assist clients with personal care activities.
- A valid Australian Driver’s License.
- The right to work in Australia.
- Ability to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate (if you don’t already have one).
A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant experience, or an interest in community services would be an advantage—but if you don’t have these yet, don’t worry! Yooralla provides outstanding training and support, including opportunities to work and study. You may also discover that your existing skills are highly transferable to this role.
