Salary Range:   $104,943.49 - $121,307.82 (depends on experience) + superannuation + salary packaging

About the role

Yooralla has a vacancy in our North/West region (preferred but will consider east or south location for the right person) with flexible working arrangements, for a passionate, positive relationship builder, with significant experience working in a transdisciplinary consultative model to join our team as a Senior Clinician Speech Pathologist.

You will provide best practice, evidence-informed speech pathology services to support people with a disability to achieve their goals and lead the life of their choosing. You will hold a strong understanding of working within a human rights practice framework, person-centered and family centered practice, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary models of support and have leading clinical skills.

In addition to managing a clinical case load this position carries a portfolio of specialist clinical practice. You will be responsible for providing strong practice leadership across the organisation and contribute to; research and development, policy and practice frameworks, supporting clinical risk management as required, workforce recruitment and planning, staff education and training in areas of specialist clinical knowledge, practice supervision and practice effectiveness including clinical audits to enhance the services we deliver.

About You

You will be an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in speech pathology, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage people with a disability and their support team to build their capability. You will have expert ability to work in partnership with referring therapists, to work collaboratively with the client, their family and their primary therapist.

To be successful in this role you’ll share Yooralla’s values and have:

  • experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model
  • the ability to build positive relationships with clients, their families, and referring therapists
  • a willingness to continuously improve on your clinical and technical knowledge – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing knowledge and skills in areas you’re not familiar with
  • care for the work you do and for the people you work with
  • competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems
  • good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Additional postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly regarded.

·       Current driver's licence to drive in Australia (travel is an expectation of the position)

·       Registration with Speech Pathology Australia
