About the Role

The Head of People Services leads the team to deliver efficient, compliant HR processes, focusing on customer-centric service and support. This role oversees payroll compliance, ensures business continuity, and drives continuous improvement across systems and processes. It also includes managing outsourced providers, developing reporting dashboards, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet SLAs.

Experience and Capabilities:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in people services or human resources management within a complex organisational environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of people services processes and best practices, with a strategic focus on driving organisational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing service desks and triage processes, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies, with a focus on enhancing systems and processes.
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining dashboards and SLAs to monitor and improve service performance.
  • Proven ability to manage and negotiate with external suppliers, ensuring optimal service delivery and value for the organisation.
  • Comprehensive experience in developing and managing remuneration frameworks, aligning with organisational goals and NFP market trends.
  • Ability to provide strategic advice on complex people services issues and supporting senior leadership in decision-making.

Mandatory requirements

  • Current National Police Record Check
  • NDIS training (completed within first month of employment)
  • Working with Children Check

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s qualification in a relevant discipline ideally in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
