Exciting opportunity to join our team as a Finance Business Partner, driving strategic financial insights and operational excellence.
About the Role
The Finance Business Partner is responsible for building relationships, supporting the operations and programs, and providing financial advice that is required to support sound economic decision making. The role is also responsible for assisting in the month end preparation of reports, reviewing the financial performance of the organisation’s operations, including identification and analysis of the main drivers for the different lines of services within the business. This position will also be involved in ad-hoc projects to assist management in developing and implementing efficiencies in business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial and Risk Management: Deliver accurate financial analysis and reporting, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor financial risks, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Process Improvement: Develop robust financial models to support business development and tenders. Drive process improvements in performance reporting and budgeting, contribute to financial systems integration, and collaborate with management to implement financial initiatives and organisational changes.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Build financial management capabilities through business partnering, supporting programs to understand and improve performance. Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to resolve revenue discrepancies, provide accurate business analysis, and represent finance in system integration and optimisation projects.
- Training and Development:Stay current with financial and budget reporting through ongoing training, assist stakeholders in developing reports and KPI dashboards, and effectively manage competing priorities while promoting self-care strategies.
Experience and Capabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in analysis, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and experience working with ERP systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, conceptual and critical thinking skills.
Desired:
- Experience within the NFP sector or similar industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
- CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards)
