About the Role:

As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and, where applicable, their families. This is a Permanent Full-Time position based in Carnegie, VIC, with oversight of all three Service units located across two sites in Carnegie and one in Murrumbeena. As part of your role, it is expected that you will regularly travel between and maintain a strong presence across all service sites to ensure consistent, high-quality support and leadership. You will work Monday to Friday, 7.6 hours per day, which includes 2 hours (8AM to 10AM) of direct client support on the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of disability support workers, providing high-intensity support to clients.
  • Performance Management: Ensure the overall performance of the service aligns with annual work plans and meets established targets.
  • Person-Directed Support: Promote person-directed support and community participation that exceeds minimum disability standards, all within available resources.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage the day-to-day operations of supported accommodation services, surpassing identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support Excellence: Provide high-quality support to customers and their families, offering management support to care staff.

About You

To be successful in this role you'll share Yooralla's Values and have:

  • Management Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience within a community services or similarly complex environment, with the ability to drive accountability and maintain high service standards.
  • Sector Knowledge: Sound understanding of legislation, safeguarding and quality standards relevant to the disability sector.
  • Person-Centered Leadership: Strong knowledge of contemporary, person-centered practice and the ability to coach and guide staff to uphold the rights, dignity and support needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • Advanced Communication & Conflict Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to lead difficult conversations, address conflict early, and engage individuals who may be resistant or disengaged. Ability to build trust, maintain professional boundaries and ensure essential discussions occur when required.
  • Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to manage financial and staff resources effectively within a complex environment.
  • Resilience & Initiative: High levels of initiative, emotional resilience and sound judgement, with the ability to remain calm, solutions-focused and decisive in challenging situations.
  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification and/or significant experience in the human services area.
