Salary Range:         $82,894.01 - $101,506.63 (depends on experience) + superannuation + salary packaging

About the role

Yooralla has vacancies in the Northern region of Melbourne for a passionate, positive relationship builder, with experience working with a multidisciplinary team model to join our team as a part time or full time adult Speech Pathologist. This fulfilling role will provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services across the scope of practice to adults with a disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.

Your working days may involve:

  • delivering therapy in people's homes, educational settings or in the community; aimed at supporting clients to achieve their goals
  • communication skills and/or mealtime safety and promoting overall health and wellbeing.
  • working part of an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists
  • providing indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals.

About You

You’ll be an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, good interpersonal skills, and ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them and build their capability. You’ll have an ability to work in partnership with adults with a disability to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person’s supports, including their families.

To be successful in this role you’ll share Yooralla’s values and have:

  • experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model
  • the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
  • a willingness to improve on your clinical practice – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you’re not familiar with
  • care for the work you do and for the people you work with
  • competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems
  • good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • an Australian driver’s license and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel Southern region of Melbourne as required

If you hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, even better!
